Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Service
Monday, May 1, 2015 - 10 AM - Grand Island
The Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial committee has some exciting plans/renovations that will be made for the Annual Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Service, Monday, May 11 at 10 AM in Grand Island.
One of the changes is a set of four rows of in-ground granite. Those areas will have 14 - 12x12 inch granite slabs with agency logos that have been major players, like FOP, FBINA, NLEMC, POAN, NSA, NSP, GIPD, FIFD, etc. We are doing this at our expense with no cost to the organizations or agencies.
Two other rows will contain 4x12 inch granite bricks with individual names on them: the first row for officers who have passed away since 2009 - dedication year of the memorial - while still active in their respective departments; the second row will be to thank individuals for all their help at the memorial or during the project.
Please contact Russ Zeeb - RZeeb@aol.com - by March 15 with any active duty deaths since 2009 or retired deaths during 2014 for Sheriffs Offices, Police Officers, State Patrol and any other law enforcement personnel in Nebraska. They will be recognized during the ceremony. Only the names of active officers will be placed on the granite bricks.
