Awards
Capt. Robert Anderson of the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office was recognized with a Law Enforcement Coordinating Council Award at the LECC Conference in May. Anderson was honored for his exemplary service as the Investigations Coordinator of the SCALES organization, a multi-jurisdictional task force comprised of 10 city and county law enforcement agencies in central Nebraska that focus on violent and high profile crimes. Capt. Anderson has been the agency coordinator for SCALES since its inception.
Lt. Renee Botts (left), Dawson County Jail Administrator, received the 2008 NCAMA award for Excellence in Corrections at the Jail Standards Conference in April. Presenting the award was Ted Pocwierz, President of the Nebraska Corrections Administrators and Managers Association.
Cheyenne County Sheriff Darrell Johnson (left) received the 2008 Excellence in Detention Facility Operations Award. The award was presented to Johnson by Dan Evans of the Nebraska Jail Standards, at their conference in April.
